beer making instructions and supplies   Beer kits make brewing easy and fast. Since the hops are already blended and balanced with the malt there is no need to boil these kits for more that 20 minutes. All of these kit beers will work with Mr. Beer and the Beer Machine.
You can enhance your brew by adding steeped specialty grains, dry malt extract and finishing hops. Check out Brewing with Pork-n-Beans for more beer kit ideas and What's Wrong with My Beer for tips on improving your beer recipes.
BELGIAN BREFERM BEER KITS
Brewferm Products of Beverlo-Beringen, Belgium, produces a line of malt extract beer kits that pay tribute to some of Belgium's unique brewing traditions. Each kit contains a selection of Belgian and European two-row malted barley blended with whole hops  3.3-lb (1.5-kg) cans. We recommend using two cans for 5 gallons.
ABBEY  $17.95
This malt extract makes a strong, dark, reddish-brown beer with a high alcohol content that lends the beer a vinous character. The finished beer has the full-flavored taste and malty aroma of a Belgian abbey beer.
KRIEK   $29.95
Designed to produce a slightly acidic, sweet aromatic kriek (cherry beer) with a red copper tint. Each kit contains the equivalent of 3 kg of cherries in a special blend of cherry juice: no artificial flavoring.
DIABOLO   $17.95
This extract makes a golden-colored Belgian strong ale with a thick, long-lasting head and a slightly sweet aftertaste.
OLD BRUIN   $17.95
Designed to produce a very dark brown beer with a licorice aftertaste. This Belgian Oud Bruin can also be compared to some of the Dutch Bocks. Allow the beer 8-12 weeks to mature.
