
The name dill comes from the word dilla which means "to lull", First century Romans thought it was a symbol of good luck. Dill is native to the Mediterranean and southern Russia, use dillweed in pickling, cream sauces or aioli for fish, dressings for salads, vegetable soups, and breads. It's also a standard for making homemade dill pickles.
