
Used for its aromatic properties of citrus and floral, and moderate bittering in beer styles such as American ales, pale ales, IPA's and lagers. Its name is derived from the Ahtanum area near Yakima where the first hop farm was established in 1869. Possible substitutions include Amarillo and Cascade. Alpha: 5.7-6.3%; Beta: 5.0-6.5%
