In the early spring of 2012, President Obama purchased a homebrew starter kit and directed the White House kitchen to brew a beer for St. Patrick’s Day. The beer was served as part of the St Pat’s celebration. More recently, he directed the staff to brew another brew using honey from the White House bee hives. With the help of a local brewmaster, the following recipe was developed and brewed; makes five gallons.
