About Leeners and the You-Make-Kit Brand
Leeners specializes in food and beverage homecraft supplies for everything from homebrewed beer and wine  to homemade cheese and sausage.  The company is owned and operated by Eileen Leverentz with help from her husband Jim.
Leeners opened in Macedonia, Ohio on October 6, 1996.  The original retail store was dedicated to homebrewing and wine making.  By 1998 we had expanded our product lines into the many You-Make-Kit activities you now find on our web site.  In March of 2004 we relocated to Northfield, Ohio.

The You-Make-Kit Brand
All of the You-Make-Kit Brand kits are produced at our facility in Northfield, Ohio.  The You-Make-Kit Brand is a collection of food and drink related do-it-yourself kits designed to be both educational and functional.  Our goal is to teach life skills while creating memorable food products using the techniques and traditions of a simpler and more relaxed time.  The DIY experience continues after a kit has been completed because the component parts of all kits may be reordered (refilled) at leeners.com.
