The S/S Mix-stir (stainless steel) has an un-breakable steel rod and the same plastic, hinged blades as the original so it is safe to use with glass carboys. It will also fit any variable speed hand drill. We recommend that you use our drilled glass carboy airlock stopper with the stainless steel mix stir to protect the neck of the carboy. Simply insert the shaft through the stopper prior to attaching it to the drill.
